In this theatre workshop we aim to
work creative and imaginative. The three
important targets of the animator will
be the dynamic of the group (communication, ways of cooperation), the evolution
of the members and techniques that will lead the group to the creation of a
play.
All these will take place through
games, exercises and techniques that include physical and verbal improvisations.
A successful improvisation requires teamwork and solidarity, trust towards the
play partners, ability to think fast and accept ones fantasy and emotions,
avoidance of any effort to appear smart and funny as this agony turn us away
from our real selves, stealing our spontaneity.
More precisely, during the first part
the group will be introduced to each other to create an atmosphere of trust and
mutual respect which will allow the creativity of all the members to be
expressed. Exercises include: observation, alertness, relaxation, enlargement
of imagination, concentration and communication.
During the second part, the exercises
aim that now each participant will get out of the circle and express oneself. A
number of exercises that convert the
energy to action and improvisations with or without speech, with an open or a
given theme take place in order to create conditions of action.
In the last part, the group will come
in contact with a theatrical script. A choice and the reading of a theatrical
play will be made, its analysis and the commitment to a character will follow.
In the final stage, rehearsals, improvisation on the scripts and the
performance will complete the whole experience.
Depending on the time availability
and the dedication of the members the animator will proceed accordingly with
each step.
